Look no further, because Stellar is seeking a talented HR Generalist to join the Stellar HR team!

 

As a HR Generalist at Stellar, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills and expertise in supporting one of our production departments by managing a broad range of human resource functions. This HR professional will provide day-to-day support and guidance to cross-functional site team members while coordinating the implementation of best-practices within the HR team.

  • Provides professional-level support to managers, staff, and the company in areas of recruitment, employee performance, compensation, benefits, engagement, and employee relations. 
  • Point of contact for employees and company leaders regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns.  Assists the business in conflict resolution and the timely addressing of issues. 
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and interviewing. 
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and benefit administration. 
  • Supports leaves of absence administration, compliance, and tracking. 
  • Applies labor law knowledge and independent decision making within the perimeters of company policy, as well as local, state, and federal law. 
  • Drives initiatives to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture. 
  • Assists with Employee training and development. 
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks. 
  • Maintain and analyze HR metrics and prepare reports on key HR activities, such as turnover rates and recruitment efforts. 
  • Work with Human Resources team members to cross-train, streamline processes, and increase productivity. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Essential Skills, Education, and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of prior experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  
  • Able to handle sensitive information and situations in a confidential, and discrete manner. 
  • Time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize work. 
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. 

 

Preferred Skills and Experience 

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR). 
  • Prior experience with HRIS system(s). 
  • Prior experience supporting a manufacturing organization. 

 

Additional Requirements: 

  • Company sponsored continuing education may be required.
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
